A Board with Direct and Substantial Interest

The New Gulph Board of Directors has a strong commitment to maintaining the Center’s traditional strengths - its teachers, its family atmosphere a sense of community, and its focus on the whole child. Active involvement by parents is the cornerstone of the program we’ve built for over four decades. Membership and participation on the Board ensures New Gulph will continue its tradition of excellence, financial stability and be a quality facility that meets the needs of our current and future families.

New Gulph’s Board membership consists of current parents, a former NG student, a staff representative and one representative from our host facility, the Radnor Friends Meeting, as well as the Center’s Director.

The Board advises the Center’s Director on all policy, Human Resource and budget decisions and together they serve as the decision or policy makers under which the Center functions. Board Members also serve on one or more committees of their choice such as: Development, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources and Family Activities. Parents serving on the Board graciously share their talents while enjoying a feature that sets New Gulph apart from many other day care centers. If you have a particular interest in one of these areas, or a relevant expertise, and you are willing to help out, we welcome your participation.

The Board meets monthly, with committee meetings scheduled as needed. All Board meetings and committee meetings are open to any parent.

At a corporation meeting usually held during the annual family picnic, NG parents review the Center’s activities, future plans and elect additional members to the Board of Directors.
